Gentle & thorough extractions
Dr. Kim is highly trained in oral surgery and received advanced training for a year in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery at the Jacobi Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. He has also worked extensively with medically complex and high-risk patients.
Wisdom Teeth Extractions
Dr. Kim will comfortably extract your wisdom teeth. He takes 3D Cone Beam CT Scan to isolate the exact position of your (or your teen’s) wisdom teeth and plans the surgery ahead of time. For longer procedures or for maximum comfort, Dr. Kim can provide sedation in addition to local anesthesia.

Extracting decayed or broken-down teeth
Sometimes teeth can’t be saved in which case an extraction is needed. Dr. Kim gently extracts your tooth or teeth and places bone grafting material in the empty socket to ensure the socket shape is preserved and no bone loss occurs at that site.
He also performs an “alveoplasty”, which is a procedure to smooth out uneven areas in the jawbone left after extraction. This is especially necessary when extracting multiple teeth. If the person is going to be using dentures of any kind, then this procedure assures a good and comfortable fit. It also helps control bleeding and improves healing time as Dr. Kim sutures the sockets rather than leaving them open. Dr. Kim performs the procedure at the same time as the extractions.
